Synopsis
Final Fantasy VIII was a huge step in graphics from VII. The characters showed a greater extent of detail, and the FMV's were spectacular. Not only the graphics, but also how many more Cut Scenes there were through out the game. The storyline was like none other, a war between two area's twist the fate of one young man, Squall, who becomes a SeeD to attend to the war. A lot changes when he encounters a young, beautiful woman, Rinoa, who is also determined to defend her own area. Both of them being trapped in this war allows them to eventually become more then just war buddies. The storyline was one of the best features in FF8, but there's so much more.
For instance, the battle system, instead of using Materia from FF7, you now have the ability to "Draw" magic from enemies. Not only can you draw magic, but you can also draw Guardian Forces from certain bosses. The new Junction system allowed players to add their drawn magic to certain attributes, like Strength, HP, even their weapon status effect!
Another reason why FF8 is liked by so many fans, the legendary Summons, with a new identity called Guardian Forces. Summoning them is a lit more interactive them before, your GF's can protect you in ways unlike any other, and also level up so they can become more powerful. Some say it was the graphics that made this game most memorable, and some say it was the storyline, but its up to you to decide which you think made it one of the most loved games in Gaming History.
